Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
We remove most benign, common skin lesions on the face and body such as skin tags, milia, thread veins, cherry angiomas/blood spots, seborrheic keratosis and more.
You will need to come in for a consultation, so we can take a look and advise
The duration of the treatment will depend on the size and number of lesions. For 1 small lesion, you can book the minimum slot of up to 15 minutes. If multiple lesions present in the area, this will require a session of at least 30 minutes and if more than one area needs treating, 45-60 minutes depending on the amount and size of the area. This will be discussed during consultation. to this item.
As long you are not found to have any contraindications to the treatment, during the consultation you can be treated on the same day as long as long as there is adequate time. You may be advised to have a patch test first, if we feel there may be any concerns around how your skin may heal.
There is some discomfort depending in the size of the lesion and the area requiring treatment but is usually well tolerated by most.
If necessary, we advise applying Emla cream to the area requiring treatment, 30 minutes prior to your appointment. We will also have Emla cream in clinic, to help ease any potential discomfort however, if you are able to apply it before hand and cover the area with cling film for 30-60 minutes before you appointment, it will provide more effective relief. Emla cream can be purchased from most pharmacies.
Benign skin lesions are often genetic, and, in that case, new ones can form over time, particularly in the case of skin tags, and milia. Although not usually the same lesion that has been removed, but new lesions may appear in or near the area. Larger skin tags or moles may re-grow if a route is present in the deeper tissues, although we do try to cauterise the root to prevent re-growth, if visible.
Most lesions can be removed in 1-2 sessions.
Large areas with multiple lesions will often require multiple sessions, due to the time it can take. It is not advisable to treat too large of an area in one session, so as not to over-traumatise the skin. A maximum time of 60 minutes is recommended per session.
Some lesions will leave a small mark or a little bit discoloration depending on how it was attached.
If this is the case, any mark left behind is usually minimal and less visible than the lesion being removed, due to the precise nature of this removal technique. We can also disguise any marks with micropigmentation treatment, although this isn’t usually necessary.
We cannot offer any treatments to pregnant or breast-feeding women.

The same ink, needles and machines are used, as in artistic tattooing.
It is the treatment technique that differs, in that the ink is not embedded as deep, as we are working to camouflage imperfections of the skins surface. The inks are mixed and diluted in a specific way to blend naturally with the skin tone.
Although slight discomfort is to be expected, it is not generally considered a painful treatment as the ink it not tattooed as deep as in artistic tattooing therefore anaesthetic cream is not necessary or recommended.
Inkless needling can be a little bit more uncomfortable, as it has a slightly scratchier sensation.
Anaesthetic cream such as Emla or LMX, may interfere with the absorption of the ink, so
anaesthetic cream is not routinely applied for medical tattooing.
Anaesthetic cream can be applied before MCA Inkless needling. If being used, Emla cream will need to be applied by clients 30 minutes before their appointment for best results. The area can be covered with cling film to prevent the cream form rubbing off, when travelling to the appointment.
Emla cream can be purchased from most local pharmacies.
Although the Brazilian medical micropigmentation technique, utilizes permanent ink, the body’s immune system will gradually break the pigment particles down over time. This will cause the pigment to start to fade. This takes much longer to happen with permanent inks, than it does with semi-permanent inks, due to the particle sizes being larger. The skin renews itself from the inside out, and as new layers of skin are formed in the dermis, and work their way up to the epidermis, the ink, which rests in the dermis, will start to appear duller, as it becomes covered by the newer skin layers.
We advise that you may need to touch up the medical tattooing approximately every 5-6 years to keep it looking its best, due to the above reasons.
This will vary depending upon the client’s skint type, and what is being treated. On average, we advise you to expect approximately 3-4 sessions per area, as the skin will initially shed some of the ink approximately 60 days after each session, owing to the natural skin renewal cycle. Also as the skin repairs itself immediately after each session, some of the ink will be pushed out of the skin. The residual ink eventually settles in the dermis approximately 60 days after the treatment session, which is when the final result of that session can be observed.
Although not necessary, a patch test before the initial treatment can test for any possible allergies to the ink and is also good to gauge how well your skin will retain the ink post treatment; and what the final colour will look like once the skin has fully healed. A patch test is recommended but can be waived by signing a declaration.
In the case of inkless needling, a patch test is not routine, but may be recommended for those who are at a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or poor wound healing.
A period of 48 hours can determine if you have an allergy to the ink or not.
To observe your skins healing and ink retention, a period of 60 days is recommended after the patch test before starting the treatment.
We cannot treat pregnant of breastfeeding women and advise waiting at least 1 year post
pregnancy before treating stretch marks, as they will continue to change for 1-2 years after they occur.
