Mediclear Advanced Cosmetic Procedures is owned and run by Nicola McLean, a Senior Medical
Aesthetician, Medical Technician, specialist make up artist & NHS certified Phlebotomist.
After qualifying in Applied Sciences/Beauty Therapy Sciences in 2004, Nicola went on to work in some of
London’s leading Medical Aesthetic clinics, working as a Medical Aesthetician and Phlebotomist. She
performed a variety of advanced skin procedures in addition to advanced electrolysis, such as laser
resurfacing, chemical peels, laser vein removal, laser hair removal, IPL skin rejuvenation, microneedling
and also spent some time focusing on consultation and treatment for Acne and acne scarring,
hyperpigmentation and rosacea. She went back to study at The University of Arts, London college of Fashion, to study
specialist make up design.
Nicola has spent the past 17 years working in Harley Street, Knightsbridge and London City. During that
time, she has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience, dealing with different skin types and
concerns. Although with a gentle approach, she is driven by results and is genuinely passionate about
fulfilling her client’s needs.
Whilst consulting for other treatments, Nicola noticed that there were many people with unwanted
lesions, who were previously not aware that there was anything that could be done about them, or that
removal could be so simple. There were others who had been turned away by their GP, since harmless
skin lesions are deemed as a cosmetic issue rather than medical.
When treating stretchmarks and scarring, she found that results from other popular treatment methods
could be underwhelming and that the overall result could be further improved by the use of Medical
Micropigmentation techniques. Nicola was delighted to now be able to combine her artistic skills from
specialist make up, together with her knowledge and expertise in advanced skin care.
Fueled by her results driven nature and the personal fulfillment that comes from client satisfaction,
Nicola decided to specialize in the improvement of these skin imperfections through the above
methods, as despite the vast growth of the advanced skin care industry, she felt that this area is still
under-represented and hopes to continue improving the self-confidence of individuals with these
common concerns.
